Ring Education: Caring for Your Ring - Cleaning Rings at Home

Jewelry, especially rings, can accumulate dirt, oil, and residue from various daily tasks. A simple at-home cleaning routine can bring back their shine:

  1. Soap & Water: A gentle solution of lukewarm water and mild dish soap can effectively clean most rings. Soak the ring for about 20-30 minutes, then use a soft-bristled toothbrush to brush away the accumulated grime. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
  2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Stay away from bleach, chlorine, and abrasive substances as they can damage some gemstones and metals.
  3. Special Care for Specific Stones: Some gemstones, like pearls or opals, require extra caution. Always research the specific care needs for your gemstone before attempting to clean it.
